Here are 4 of the Best (Refillable) Juul Alternatives for 2018

Few things have hit the scene harder than the JUUL.

Made by the same people behind the PAX dry herb vaporizer, its arrival has shuffled the industry deck, and redefined genres. The JUUL is a cigalike that is tastefully designed and simple to use, and it delivers a nicotine hit that former smokers crave.

So it’s the best in the business, right?

Well, not necessarily. As much as I love its small form factor and intuitive interface, the JUUL has some serious drawbacks.

There are a number of JUUL-like cigalikes now and honestly they stand up to scrutiny. Some of them are arguably better across the board.

Want to check out the competition? Here are four of my favourite JUUL alternatives from competitors looking to unseat the king.

Five Great Sub Ohm Tanks Worth Trying | VE Reviews

Man exhales vapour cloud

The trend of sub ohm vaping is massively popular, and growing. It makes sense! Who wouldn’t want more vapour and flavour?

Whether you’ve got a mechanical mod, a variable voltage / wattage rig, or just a basic battery capable of low ohms, you should really give this type of vaping a try!

By reducing electrical resistance and thereby increasing the heat (which improves evaporation), you can create massive clouds and enjoy the subtle flavours of your e-juice like never before.

The best way to do this (in my opinion) is to find a good sub ohm rebuildable tank atomizer (or RTA).

There are a bunch of great options, and choosing can be a frustrating exercise. Want some help?

Five Good, Cheap Vape Starter Kits for 2016

good e-cigarette starter kits for beginners

The first time I noticed a vaporizer was on a crowded street. I saw the puff of smoke and expected to walk through an acrid cloud.

Imagine my surprise when that cloud was completely odourless!

There are lots of good reasons for switching over from ‘analog’ cigarettes to vaping. Regaining your senses of taste and smell, losing that smoke smell from your clothes, and improving your health to name a few.

However, getting started can be daunting. What’s with all the components and batteries? What the heck is a mod?

My suggestion? Ignore the complicated stuff for now. I always recommend that a beginner find a good, cheap vape starter kit to get rolling.

They’re easy to use and maintain, and they get you going right away, so you can make a successful switch. Besides, you can always upgrade later on. Start right now. Make a change for the better.

So what’s the best e-cig starter kit worth dropping some money on?

Four Affordable & Stylish Electronic Smoking Pipes

Affordable Electronic Pipes Explained

When I first got into pipe smoking, I fell in love. There’s something about puffing on a pipe that just makes the world slow down.

Smoking a pipe takes time. You get to relax, take in your surroundings, get lost in thought, and appreciate the experience.

Unfortunately, like all burnt tobacco, there are considerable health concerns. Wanting to live a long life, I set the ‘toby’ aside.

I immediately started looking around for a good electronic smoking pipe that could take its place. I was surprised by the lack of good information about affordable e-pipe options.

It’s not that they don’t exist, they simply seem to be scattered across the web, with very little reliable information ready at hand.

So what are the best e-pipes at a cheap price point?

Joyetech eRoll-c Review: A Small E-Cigarette with Huge Vapour

The eRoll Electronic Cigarette Review: Starter Kit with PCC

I love a huge mod that produces clouds as much as the next person. But that being said, sometimes you just want an e-cig that’s simple, stealthy and cigarette-like.

The eRoll is probably the closest you’ll get to a real cigarette in terms of size, feel and satisfaction. It doesn’t skimp on power either, it’ll produce clouds and great flavour.

It even comes with a PCC (or portable charging case) to ensure you’ve got enough power to get you through the day.

But is the Joyetech eRoll e-cig starter kit all it’s cracked up to be? This review will detail my personal experiences with the device, so you’ll know what to expect!

Clearomizer VS Cartomizer VS Atomizer: What’s the Difference?

Clearomizer vs cartomizer: what's the difference? What’s the Difference Between a Clearomizer and Cartomizer?

When I first got into the e-cigarette world, this was one of my first questions. The words ‘clearomizer’ and ‘cartomizer’ were thrown around all over the place, sometimes interchangeably.

So what’s the difference? Which one is better?
